2011 Wines are on the Beauty Sleep

Argos in Cappadocia has its own Syrah and Kalecik Karası vineyards in Gülşehir region and thus produces its own wines to be served only at the hotel premises. The 2011 vintage Kalecik Karası – a local grape variety resembling Pinot Noir- wines were bottled last month and put into the underground cellars of the hotel for their beauty sleep… The 2011 harvest for Kalecik Karası was made on October 1st, a relatively late date for harvest and the grapes were well matured thanks to warm days without much rain and cool nights. The wine rested in steel tanks for 12 months before bottling. Kalecik Karası 2011, resembling a Beaujolais Grand Cru, is waiting in the cellars to be put on the wine list of Seki Restaurant (www.seki.com.tr) by the beginning of the coming year…
