French painter and sculptor Nicole Deleuze’s “Latest Works” exhibition meets the art-lovers in Argos in Cappadocia June 17 through July 20, 2011.
The exhibition in Bezirhane displays Deleuze’s paintings and works that carry the art of sculpture to another dimension. Renowned French artist’s sculptures heavily feature metal and tulle cloth, which make them go beyond the ordinary with the ability of movement and by being subject to change. Birds play the leading role in Deleuze’s recent paintings. Nicole Deleuze describes birds as the best tools to represent what she has to express. The exhibition to visit Cappadocia for the first time tries to expose movement and liberty in three dimensions.
“Latest Works”, is an outcome of a long and poetic creative process. Deleuze, being graduated from Ecole d’Architecture de Toulouse, has displayed her artworks in various galleries in the city while she worked as an architect. She lived in Toulouse in Southern France until 2000. Nicole Deleuze carries on her work in her house in Teşvikiye since 2001.
